Check-in and check-out

Check-in: Check-in can be done between 3pm and 7pm.

Herdade dos Abegões will contact you a few days before arrival to confirm the check-in time and arrange key collection. If you need to check in after this schedule, you must notify Herdade dos Abegões up to 5 days before the check-in day.

Check-out: You must check out until 12pm.

If there is a need to adjust the departure time, we kindly ask you to present your request at reception at least 24 hours in advance. Herdade dos Abegões cannot guarantee that this will be satisfied, however if there is a possibility, it will analyze your request.

Payments

Bookings at Herdade dos Abegões are on a pre-payment basis. Payment for your booking will be requested from the moment it becomes non-refundable: 5 days before the start date of your stay if you are staying in one of our rooms, or 14 days before the start date of your stay if you choose to book the entire Herdade.

In case you opt for the non-refundable rate, payment can be requested from the moment you make your booking.

Guarantee Policy

In order to take advantage of all the services we have at your disposal we require that you have a valid credit card at the time of your booking.

Deposit Policy

In case you don’t have a valid credit card, a deposit may be required to guarantee your reservation.

Cancellations

Booking Policy

Any booking changes or cancellations made up to 5 days before the arrival date if you are staying in one of our rooms, and up to 14 days before the arrival date if you choose to book the exclusive access to Herdade dos Abegões, will be accepted free of charge. If your booking is cancelled after this period, in case of no-show, and/or early departure, the total value of your stay will be charged.

Any changes or cancellations should be sent to info@abegões.com. In case your booking has been made through an external platform (e.g. booking, expedia), changes and cancellations should be made through the same channel.

Meal Cancellation Policy

If you have booked the exclusive access to Herdade dos Abegões changes or cancellations of meals must be submitted up to 14 days before the arrival date. After this date, Herdade dos Abegões cannot guarantee the satisfaction of your change request, reserving the right to charge for the booked meals. Any changes or cancellations should be sent to info@abegões.com.

Activities Cancellation Policy

Activities are subject to prior booking and availability. Once availability has been confirmed, the booking is effective once full payment has been received. Activities cannot be canceled. If necessary, Herdade dos Abegões may consider rescheduling the activity, by prior appointment and subject to availability.

For bookings of activities provided by third parties, the cancellation policy will be that applicable by the service provider.

Your stay at Herdade dos Abegões

All reservations include accommodation and breakfast. There are other services and activities at Herdade dos Abegões that can be booked in advance and at an additional cost.

Meals

Breakfast service is included in the price of your accommodation, and will be served between 8:30am and 10:30am.

Lunches and dinners at Herdade dos Abegões are served between 12:30pm and 2:30pm, and 7:30pm-9:30pm respectively, and must be booked 2 hours in advance. The menu is fixed-price and contains two different options of the day. You can consult the menu, or other information via email info@abegoes.com.

Herdade dos Abegões has a menu of drinks and snacks that can be requested at the property between 11am to 9pm.

For groups of more than 6 people, and for guests who book the exclusive access to Herdade dos Abegões, we offer a meal service, by appointment. The menu, consisting of regional dishes prepared at the property, has an all included fixed price and must be selected in advance up to 14 days before the first day of your stay. Extra Bed

Due to the characteristics of the accommodations, it is not possible to have extra beds.

We have children’s beds up to 3 years old, free of charge, which can be placed in the parents’ rooms, upon prior request and consultation.

Pets

In order to ensure that all guests can enjoy a peaceful environment and the property without disturbances, pets are not allowed at Herdade dos Abegões.

Swimming Pool

At Herdade dos Abegões you can use the swimming pool for free and in accordance with the rules of use. We safeguard that this is not supervised, being treated with products for its maintenance.

The pool’s opening hours are from 10 am to 9 pm, and its use is exclusively for Herdade dos Abegões’ guests. The use of a bathing suit is mandatory in the swimming pool. Children must always be under adult supervision. Diving and the use of inflatables and buoys are prohibited. Herdade dos Abegões is not responsible for any accident in this area. Visits

Herdade dos Abegões is for the exclusive use of its guests, not being allowed to receive visitors or house third parties.

Parties

In Herdade dos Abegões are not allowed parties, stag parties, or any type of event that may disturb the noise conditions.

Parking

We advise you to leave your car locked. Herdade dos Abegões is not responsible for damage caused to third parties, theft or robbery occurred with the vehicles.

For the safety of all, we appreciate that whenever you enter or leave the property, that you close the gate.

Smoking

Smoking is forbidden in the rooms and common areas. Outside you will find appropriate areas for smoking, being mandatory the respect for the space of other guests and the basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the space. In accordance with Herdade dos Abegões policy, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of 200€/incident if this rule is not complied with.

Damage caused or missing objects

Herdade dos Abegões reserves the right to charge for any damage caused by the guest.

General Conditions

Admission

Herdade dos Abegões can be used by national and foreign guests upon presentation of a valid identification document (Citizen Card / Identity Card or Passport).

The reservation implies filling in a reservation registration form. At check-in the guests’ identification documents will be requested to integrate the customer’s file. The customer will guarantee the accuracy of all information given.

Clients must inform the exact number of guests when submitting the reservation or whenever questioned.

If the booking involves foreign guests, the law requires that the respective identification documents/passport must be presented for photocopying. These documents must obligatorily have the indication of the full name, date of birth, place of birth and residence and issuing country of the document.

Herdade dos Abegões reserves the right to refuse accommodation to a number of guests exceeding the capacity indicated for the establishment.

Booking for Exclusive Access of Herdade dos Abegões

Herdade dos Abegões can be booked on an exclusive basis, by consulting the price table for this category. Reserving the establishment in this category always includes the presence of the kitchen and cleaning staff, with use of the kitchen restricted to guests. For meal service, we have several options, presented in the chapter ‘Meals’ of these Terms and Conditions.

Bookings and Payments

The reservation only becomes effective upon receipt of the confirmation email from Herdade dos Abegões, regardless of the channel used for booking (website, booking platforms, telephone).

After confirming the booking, the service is pending on the provision of the customer’s credit card details and by authorising the deduction of expenses (including cancellation fees). If these details are not given to Herdade dos Abegões, the reservation will become null.

In the event that the customer does not have a credit card, the reservation is only confirmed after payment of the first night’s stay. The customer has a maximum period of 48 hours after the written confirmation of availability of the reservation by Herdade dos Abegões, to make the payment, and should send proof of payment via email info@abegoes.com.

The payment should be made to the account:

The remaining payment can be requested from you once it becomes non-refundable.

All extra services that the client uses during his stay will be paid at the time of check-out. It is assumed that the customer authorises the settlement of all outstanding charges under the payment method shown on the customer card.

Rules for Use

The extension of your stay must be submitted to Herdade dos Abegões prior assessment and is subject to availability.

Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to facilities and equipment, and must report any incident, assuming whenever they are charged, the inherent costs.

Access to or stay at Herdade dos Abegões may be refused to anyone who disturbs its normal operation, namely when:

  1. Uses them for other purposes;
  2. Refuses to comply with the accommodation’s internal operating rules;
  3. Improperly hosts third parties.

Customers are obliged to comply with the applicable legal and regulatory norms.

Cleaning Service

The client is responsible for the cleanliness and good condition of the furniture, crockery, clothes, electrical appliances and other equipment.

The accommodation price includes housekeeping and cleaning service before and after the stay. The replacement of bath linen will take place every 3 days, and bed linen every 5 days, whenever the guest requests it, and whenever there is a change of guest.

Safety

Herdade dos Abegões is equipped with fire extinguishers, fire blanket and first aid kit, and users must make responsible use of any of these materials. In cases of unjustified use of this equipment, any damage incurred will be charged to the users.

Final Provisions

Herdade dos Abegões’ guests agree to safeguard and respect the natural heritage of the property.

In the event of adverse natural causes, Herdade dos Abegões is not responsible for the consequences suffered by guests during their stay.

Herdade dos Abegões is not responsible for objects or money left at Herdade dos Abegões. However, any object found in the accommodations can be recovered within 30 working days at the headquarters of Herdade dos Abegões, not being responsible, this one, for its shipping.

There is a complaints book at Herdade dos Abegões. If the customer intends to make a complaint, we suggest that in the first instance you contact us so that we can reach a solution in a friendly manner. If this is not possible, you may request the book on site or use the electronic platform created for this purpose.

The booking and the effective use of any of the Herdade dos Abegões accommodations implies knowledge and acceptance of these rules.

Intellectual property rights

The elements presented throughout your stay at Herdade dos Abegões, as well as on this website, are subject to intellectual property rights. Their use will only be permitted after consent from Herdade dos Abegões.

Customer Support

You may, at any time, contact Euroeste Imobiliária e Construções, Unipessoal Lda for any purpose, either for any doubt regarding the use of our website or our services, or for the purpose of a complaint, by emailing info@abegoes.com.

Applicable Law

All purchases made on the Herdade dos Abegões website are subject to Portuguese law. Any conflict or disagreement shall be submitted to the competent Portuguese court.

If the Customer is located outside Portugal, Herdade dos Abegões informs you from now on, that any judicial process must be brought exclusively in the Portuguese Courts.
